Jetstream Ground Services is pleased to announce the contract award from Frontier Airlines for ground handling services in Charlotte Douglas International airport and Memphis International Airport. These are full handling contracts that include both under wing and above wing services.The contract start dates are February 12 in CLT and March 7th in MEM. “We are excited to add Frontier Airlines to the Jetstream portfolio in both locations and hope this is the first of many opportunities to come with Frontier” said Blake Schultz Jetstream’s’ VP of Sales and Marketing.
American Eagle Airlines, Inc. (American Eagle Airlines 2nd) (Dallas/Fort Worth), a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group Inc., announced today that the company will be changing its name to Envoy in spring 2014. This change is being made to give the company its own distinct identity and eliminate the confusion between the company’s current name and American Eagle, the regional flying brand of American Airlines, Inc. With the formation of American Airlines Group, the 10 carriers currently providing regional service for the legacy American and US Airways networks will all eventually fly under the American Eagle brand.

Beginning January 6th, Ryan Sargent will be our new General Manager in BUF. Ryan comes to us from Piedmont Airlines in Albany, NY where he has been the station manager since 2010.
Before Piedmont Airlines, Ryan was a Ramp Lead/Trainer for JetStream in Wilmington, NC from 2007-2010 and a Supervisor/Fueler for Air Wilmington in Wilmington, NC from 2004-2007. Ryan said that while fueling in Wilmington, he checked with us to see if we had any open positions which we did. We offered him a part time position that he worked while still keeping his full time position with Air Wilmington. He fell in love with the industry and began working with JetStream full time in 2007 through 2010. We are very happy to have Ryan back with us and look forward to him starting on January 6th.
Rob Blacksher has been ouracting General Manager in
Denver the past few months and has recently decided to take the position. Rob has been a shift manager in our CLT location since 2011 and in the airline industry since 1997.
Rob began his airline career with DGS as a ramp agent and quickly moved up to a manager position in 1999. This new position took him to Little Rock, AR through 2001 and then to Tampa, FL where he worked the Continental Airlines contract for the next four years. Rob was then promoted to GM in 2005 and transferred to Las Vegas and then Seattle. In 2011, Rob moved to CLT to join our JetStream team as a shift manager. Congratulations on your promotion Rob!
Terri Chambers has recently been promoted to Training Manager at our CLT station. She has been with JetStream since September and we are excited to have her in this position. According to Larry Wright, “Terri Chambers is dedicated to continued excellence through training. In her role as Training Coordinator, she has been instrumental in building the training program into what it is today. I am confident through her leadership as Manager of Training and Standards, the Training Department in CLT will continue to build and develop new training content and quality programs that will sustain into the future.”
With Terri accepting this position, it will allow her to continue to live her life purpose of teaching and serving. She says she plans to work diligently with the training team to transform the training department into an “Epicenter of Information”.
